Adaptogens are a group of precious herbs that have recently received much media and marketing attention because they assist the body in adapting to stress and enhance stamina. Worldwide there is only a small group of herbs that are able to be classified as adaptogens; From the many types of ginseng to rhodiola, these herbs enhance immunity, clarity of mind, and other vital functions.

This class includes a presentation of the major adaptogens, their actions, use (and abuses), as well as instructions for differential diagnosis among them. Some herbal adaptogens and preparations will be available in class to sample. This class is for interested lay people as well as advanced herbalists. Do not miss this special opportunity!

Julia is a personal teacher of mine (Jodi McKee writing here). Her herbal teachings, common sense approach and intuitive sense has really shaped who I am as an herbalist, healer and mother. Julia comes to Minnesota to teach about every two years so if these classes are calling to you do not miss this special opportunity. She introduced me to adaptogens years ago and my life was never the same! They are powerful healing plants that many need right now.
