About The Event
In this presentation, I will share information on soil health, seed starting, growing and nurturing plants, harvesting, drying, and then dive into descriptions of some of my favorite to use and easy to grow herbs. Attendees will receive a handout with reference information and get a chance to see and smell herbs from my garden. I hope to empower individuals to heal themselves and the planet by seeing the connection between the two.
Originally from Plymouth, Sarah has been growing herbs and produce for a CSA and farmers market in Buffalo for the last 4 years after working on vegetable farms in Georgia and North Dakota. Sarah has explored the theme of food as medicine as part of my goal to provide nutritious ingredients to the local community and empower customers to cook delicious and healthy meals. She is interested in the connection between the health of our planet and human health, and has grown her knowledge of gardening for soil health as a board member of the Sustainable Farming Association (Crow River Chapter).
